The Color Bar is a cute, colorful, friendly little salon in Springfield. I don’t know why I had never come in this place. 10/10. Looking forward to supporting this business over the coming years. They have definitely gained a new regular. I live in Athens and this salon is off N. Dirksen (basically across from Lowe’s), so it’s a very short trip to make! It’s about five minutes more of a drive than it was to my previous stylist, but I will happily trade the extra miles for better quality work and excellent treatment. I had the greatest time just sitting and talking with Keith while he cut my hair - we discussed his past experience with the hair scene, their involvement in Paint The Street in Springfield, and also about some of the things I have done art-wise. It was nice to feel connected with them while also getting wonderful service. Another plus? They are very supportive of the LGBTQ+ community 🏳️🌈

I go to Abi every 6 weeks for my hair and I will go no where else! She is amazing! She knows how to keep hair healthy and adds the colors I need to feel pretty! 10/10 recommend!

Took my 4 year old here to get her hair done for the first time. She had been wanting purple in her hair for a long time and she saved up her own money for it. 🥹 So I called the color bar and they were able to get her in the same day! Everyone was so nice to her and patient with her! They did a great job!
